Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive virtual assessments of patients with headaches and migraines, including detailed medical histories, symptom analysis, and risk factor evaluations. Diagnose conditions such as tension headaches, cluster headaches, and various migraine types using clinical guidelines and diagnostic tools. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, prescribing medications like triptans, beta-blockers, or preventive therapies while monitoring for side effects. Provide patient education on lifestyle modifications, trigger avoidance, and self-management strategies to enhance quality of life. Collaborate with physicians, neurologists, and multidisciplinary teams for complex cases, ensuring seamless care coordination. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA and state regulations. Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on the latest advancements in headache medicine and telehealth best practices. Required Qualifications Active licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with prescriptive authority in at least one U.S. state; multi-state licensure preferred for broader patient reach. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in primary care, neurology, pain management, or a related field, with specific focus on headaches/migraines highly desirable. Master's degree from an accredited PA or NP program. Board certification (NCCPA for PAs or ANCC/AANP for NPs). Proficiency in telehealth platforms and electronic medical records systems. Current DEA registration and BLS certification required. Skills Exceptional diagnostic skills with a deep understanding of headache pathophysiology and pharmacology. Strong communication abilities for building rapport in virtual settings and explaining complex medical information clearly.
