United States Careers is seeking an Application Solutions Engineer II to join our dynamic sales organization in Chicago, Illinois. This role focuses on value-driven technical sales, where you will combine deep technical expertise with consultative selling to help clients achieve their business objectives through tailored application solutions. As a trusted advisor, you will work closely with prospective and existing customers to understand their challenges and recommend the right technologies that deliver measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
Engage with clients to identify their technical needs and translate them into comprehensive solution proposals that align with business goals. Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations that clearly articulate the value of our offerings. Collaborate with internal engineering, product, and marketing teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and competitive. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers throughout the sales cycle. Provide post-sale technical support to ensure successful implementation and high customer satisfaction. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to maintain expert-level knowledge. Prepare detailed technical documentation, proposals, and ROI analyses to support the sales process.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Minimum of three years of experience in technical sales, solutions engineering, or pre-sales support roles. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets while delivering complex technical solutions. Strong understanding of software applications, cloud technologies, and enterprise IT environments.
Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities with the capacity to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking to develop creative solutions for client challenges. Proficiency in CRM systems, presentation tools, and technical documentation platforms. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
