Recology is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative 1 to join our team in California. This full-time role involves delivering outstanding customer support while helping residents and businesses manage their waste and recycling needs. As the first point of contact, you will play a critical role in maintaining positive relationships and ensuring seamless service delivery across our operations. In this position, you will handle a high volume of customer inquiries through phone, email, and digital channels. Your responsibilities include processing service requests, addressing billing questions, scheduling collections, and resolving complaints in a timely and professional manner. You will also educate customers about Recology’s programs, promote sustainable practices, and maintain accurate records in our customer management systems. Collaboration with internal teams such as operations and dispatch will be essential to coordinate solutions and follow up on service issues. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to remain calm and effective in fast-paced situations. Previous experience in customer service or call center environments is preferred, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
