Job Overview
CrowdStrike, the leader in cloud-native endpoint protection, is seeking a dynamic Regional Sales Manager for the SLED (State, Local, Education, and Government) sector in the Midwest region. This remote, full-time role offers the opportunity to work from anywhere in Illinois while managing a territory focused on public sector clients. As a key player in our sales team, you will drive new business acquisition, expand existing accounts, and deliver the full value of CrowdStrike's Falcon platform to protect critical infrastructure from advanced cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect and generate leads within state agencies, local governments, educational institutions, and public sector organizations across the Midwest. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets, consistently exceeding quotas through consultative selling. Build and nurture long-term relationships with C-level executives, IT leaders, and procurement teams, positioning CrowdStrike as the preferred cybersecurity partner. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales engineering, marketing, and channel partners to create compelling proposals, demos, and proof-of-concept implementations. Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach to contract negotiation and close, ensuring customer success and renewal. Track pipeline health using Salesforce CRM, provide accurate forecasting, and contribute to regional sales strategies.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of enterprise sales experience, with at least 2 years focused on SLED or public sector accounts. Proven track record of surpassing sales quotas in cybersecurity, SaaS, or technology solutions. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Deep understanding of government procurement processes, compliance standards like FedRAMP, CJIS, and state-specific regulations. Experience selling to Midwest public sector clients in states such as Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin.

Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Strong negotiation and closing abilities, coupled with strategic thinking and territory management expertise. Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales enablement tools.
