Medical Director Services PC is looking for a dedicated Wound Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In this vital role, you will provide specialized wound care services primarily in long-term care facilities and nursing homes, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and quality of life. Key Responsibilities
You will conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including wound evaluations, to diagnose conditions and develop individualized treatment plans. Perform advanced wound care procedures such as debridement, dressings, and applications of topical therapies, while prescribing medications and ordering diagnostic tests as needed. Educate patients, families, and facility staff on wound prevention, management strategies, and self-care techniques. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatment plans accordingly. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records, adhere to clinical protocols, and participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize care delivery.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold a valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in Oklahoma, with active certification from a recognized national body such as ANCC or NCCPA. A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in wound care, geriatrics, or acute care is required, along with a Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program. Current DEA registration and BLS certification are mandatory; Wound Care Certification (e.g., WOCN or CWCN) is highly preferred. Proven ability to work independently in fast-paced settings with strong knowledge of wound healing physiology, infection control, and evidence-based practices.
