Vanderbilt University Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its outpatient vascular surgery team in Nashville, Tennessee. This advanced practice provider will deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to patients with vascular conditions in a collaborative, academic medical environment. The role offers an opportunity to work alongside leading vascular surgeons while providing continuity of care through comprehensive outpatient services. Key responsibilities include conducting detailed patient histories and physical examinations, interpreting diagnostic studies such as vascular ultrasounds and CT angiograms, and developing individualized treatment plans. The provider will manage pre- and post-operative care, perform minor procedures under physician supervision, prescribe medications, and coordinate referrals to other specialties as needed. Additional duties involve patient education on lifestyle modifications, medication adherence, and disease prevention strategies, as well as documentation in the electronic health record and participation in multidisciplinary care conferences. Required qualifications include current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Tennessee, national board certification, and at least two years of clinical experience in vascular surgery, cardiology, or related surgical specialty. Candidates must demonstrate strong clinical assessment skills, proficiency with vascular diagnostic tools, and the ability to manage complex patient populations.
