Key Responsibilities
The Cardiology APP will conduct comprehensive patient assessments, diagnose and manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans. Daily duties include ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as EKGs, echocardiograms, and stress tests. The provider will prescribe medications, coordinate care with cardiologists and interdisciplinary teams, and educate patients on disease management, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence. Additional responsibilities involve participating in quality improvement initiatives, documenting care in electronic health records, and supporting clinical research efforts when applicable.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must hold current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Colorado with national board certification. A minimum of two years of clinical experience in cardiology, internal medicine, or critical care is required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification is mandatory, and candidates should demonstrate strong knowledge of cardiovascular pathophysiology, pharmacology, and evidence-based treatment guidelines.
