Job Overview The Senior Director, Member Marketing at U.S. Travel Association is a pivotal leadership role responsible for shaping and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that enhance member value, foster loyalty, and expand the association's influence within the travel industry. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this position drives initiatives to attract new members, retain existing ones, and position U.S. Travel as the premier advocate for travel's economic and societal benefits. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement multi-channel marketing campaigns tailored to diverse member segments, including destinations, suppliers, and tourism boards. Oversee the creation of compelling content, digital assets, and promotional materials that highlight member benefits and success stories. Lead cross-functional teams to launch membership drives, renewal campaigns, and event promotions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Analyze member data and market trends to refine strategies, optimize ROI, and measure campaign effectiveness using KPIs such as acquisition rates, retention, and engagement metrics. Build strategic partnerships with industry stakeholders to co-create marketing opportunities and amplify reach. Manage the member marketing budget, vendor relationships, and reporting to senior leadership. Represent U.S. Travel at industry conferences, webinars, and networking events to promote membership value. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred. Minimum of 10 years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role focused on membership, association, or B2B marketing. Proven track record in the travel, hospitality, or nonprofit sectors is highly desirable. Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and marketing automation tools. Skills Strategic visionary with exceptional leadership and team-building abilities. Expertise in digital marketing, including SEO, PPC, email marketing, and social media management. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Google Analytics, Tableau, or similar tools. Outstanding communication and storytelling skills, both written and verbal.
