Job Overview
OnPoint Medical Group is currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team in Aurora, Colorado. This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages in a dynamic and supportive healthcare environment. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare professionals to deliver timely, evidence-based care for acute illnesses and injuries.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up for a wide range of acute and episodic conditions. Perform physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and develop appropriate treatment plans. Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records and ensure compliance with clinical protocols and regulatory standards. Collaborate with physicians and support staff to coordinate patient care and referrals when necessary. Educate patients and families on treatment plans, preventive care, and health maintenance strategies.
Required Qualifications
Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Colorado. Board certification in a relevant specialty such as family medicine, emergency medicine, or internal medicine. Minimum of one year of clinical experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care settings. Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
Skills
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic abilities with excellent decision-making skills under pressure. Proficiency in electronic health record systems and medical documentation.
