Job Overview We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Physiatrist/Medical Doctor to join our healthcare team in Chicago, Illinois. In this vital role, you will diagnose and treat a wide range of physical impairments and disabilities, focusing on restoring function and enhancing the quality of life for patients recovering from injury, surgery, or chronic conditions. You will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver holistic, patient-centered care in a supportive clinical environment. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose physical impairments and develop tailored rehabilitation plans. Prescribe and oversee physical, occupational, and speech therapy interventions. Manage chronic pain conditions using advanced interventional procedures and medication management. Collaborate with surgeons, therapists, and nursing staff to coordinate seamless patient care. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment protocols to optimize outcomes. Educate patients and families on recovery expectations, lifestyle modifications, and preventive strategies. Maintain accurate medical documentation and comply with all regulatory and accreditation standards. Participate in case conferences, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education activities. Required Qualifications Must hold a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution. Board certification or eligibility in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is required. Active, unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Illinois. Minimum of two years of clinical experience in physiatry or a related field is preferred. Strong knowledge of rehabilitation medicine, musculoskeletal disorders, and pain management techniques. Skills Excellent clinical judgment and diagnostic abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient and team interaction. Proficiency in electronic medical records and documentation systems. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
