Job Description
Drive strategic sales growth for Thermo Fisher Scientific's advanced analytical instrumentation across Kansas, building relationships with key accounts and delivering tailored scientific solutions to laboratory customers.
Full Description
Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Senior Instrument Sales Representative and play a pivotal role in advancing scientific discovery across Kansas. In this position, you will promote and sell sophisticated analytical instruments to research laboratories, academic institutions, and industrial facilities throughout the state. You will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking high-performance solutions in chromatography, mass spectrometry, spectroscopy, and other critical laboratory technologies.
Your key responsibilities will include developing and executing strategic territory plans to achieve or exceed sales targets, identifying and cultivating new business opportunities through prospecting and networking, and managing an active pipeline of qualified leads. You will conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations, prepare detailed proposals, and negotiate contracts while ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle. Building long-term partnerships with decision-makers at research institutions and industrial laboratories will be central to your success, along with providing post-sale support and collaborating with internal technical specialists to address complex customer requirements.
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, engineering, or a related scientific discipline, along with a minimum of five years of proven sales experience in analytical instrumentation or laboratory equipment. Strong technical aptitude, excellent presentation abilities, and a track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue goals are essential. Proficiency with CRM platforms, strong organizational skills, and the ability to travel extensively within Kansas are required.
Thermo Fisher Scientific offers a dynamic work environment within a global leader in serving science. Employees benefit from competitive compensation packages, comprehensive health and retirement plans, professional development opportunities, and access to cutting-edge technologies. The company fosters a culture of innovation and collaboration, providing pathways for career advancement into senior sales leadership, product management, or specialized technical roles. Join a mission-driven organization committed to making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer through groundbreaking scientific solutions.
