Job Overview Nokia is looking for a dedicated Quality Assurance Software Development Engineer to join our engineering team in Indiana. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining the excellence of our telecommunications software by implementing rigorous testing methodologies and quality control processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify defects early in the development lifecycle and ensure that our products meet the highest standards of performance and reliability. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate software functionality and performance. Design and implement automated testing frameworks to improve efficiency and coverage across multiple product releases. Collaborate with software developers and product managers to understand requirements and translate them into effective quality assurance strategies. Conduct root cause analysis for defects and work with development teams to implement corrective actions. Perform regression testing, integration testing, and performance testing to ensure product stability. Maintain detailed documentation of test results and quality metrics for continuous improvement initiatives. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on software design from a quality perspective. Stay current with industry best practices and emerging testing technologies to enhance the quality assurance process. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required. Minimum of three years of experience in software quality assurance or software development with a focus on testing. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and quality assurance methodologies. Experience with test automation tools and scripting languages is essential for success in this position. Skills Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ for developing automated test scripts. Experience with testing frameworks including Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG. Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and defect tracking tools like JIRA. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail. Effective communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
