Job Overview
The Wichita Wind Surge, the Double-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals, is seeking a motivated Account Executive, Ticket Sales to join our energetic team. Based in Wichita, KS, this role focuses on generating ticket revenue through proactive sales strategies, client relationship management, and delivering exceptional fan experiences at Riverfront Stadium. As a key contributor to our sales department, you'll play a pivotal role in maximizing attendance and revenue for our thrilling Minor League Baseball games.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect and generate new business leads for season memberships, group outings, luxury suites, and individual game tickets via phone, email, in-person meetings, and networking events. Conduct sales presentations, negotiate contracts, and close deals to meet and exceed monthly and seasonal sales targets. Build and nurture long-term relationships with corporate clients, schools, organizations, and individual fans to drive repeat business and upsell opportunities. Collaborate with marketing, operations, and hospitality teams to create customized ticket packages and promotional campaigns. Represent the Wind Surge at community events, trade shows, and business expos to promote ticket sales and enhance brand visibility. Accurately maintain CRM records, track sales pipelines, and provide regular reports on performance metrics to sales leadership. Assist with game-day sales initiatives, including premium seating activations and fan engagement activities to boost on-site revenue.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field. Minimum of 1-2 years of proven success in B2B or B2C sales, preferably in sports, entertainment, or hospitality industries. Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales quotas in a commission-based environment. Proficiency with CRM software such as Salesforce or Ticketmaster, and Microsoft Office Suite.
