Sutter Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate ENT Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team in Santa Clara, California. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced otolaryngologists, delivering exceptional care to patients with ear, nose, throat, and head and neck conditions. The role is based in a modern clinical setting that supports both outpatient consultations and surgical assistance, allowing the Physician Assistant to play an integral part in comprehensive patient management from diagnosis through treatment and follow-up care. Key Responsibilities include conducting thorough patient evaluations, obtaining detailed medical histories, and performing focused physical examinations. The Physician Assistant will order and interpret diagnostic tests such as imaging studies and laboratory results, develop evidence-based treatment plans, and prescribe medications within their scope of practice. Additional duties involve assisting in ENT surgical procedures, performing minor in-office interventions, providing patient education on post-operative care and chronic condition management, and ensuring accurate documentation in electronic health records. The role also requires effective collaboration with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to optimize patient outcomes and maintain high standards of clinical excellence. Required Qualifications for this position include current California Physician Assistant licensure, national certification through the NCCPA, and a minimum of two years of clinical experience, preferably in otolaryngology or a surgical specialty. Candidates must hold a valid DEA registration and demonstrate strong clinical judgment along with excellent communication skills. Proficiency in electronic medical record systems and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential. Skills required for success include advanced clinical assessment, surgical assistance, patient education, diagnostic interpretation, and collaborative teamwork.
