Insight is currently hiring a Medical-Psych Registered Nurse to provide integrated nursing care for patients experiencing both medical and psychiatric health challenges at our Chicago location. The role focuses on delivering compassionate, evidence-based treatment while ensuring patient safety and promoting recovery across dual-diagnosis populations. Key Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive patient assessments, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and implementing individualized care plans for patients with co-occurring medical and mental health conditions. The nurse will collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate treatment, provide crisis intervention when needed, and educate patients and families on medication management and coping strategies. Additional duties involve accurate documentation, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and participating in treatment planning meetings. Required Qualifications include an active Illinois Registered Nurse license, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred, and a minimum of two years of experience in psychiatric, behavioral health, or medical-surgical nursing. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of psychopharmacology, crisis intervention techniques, and electronic health record systems. Essential Skills include strong clinical assessment abilities, effective communication, de-escalation techniques, cultural sensitivity, and the capacity to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
