Circle K is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our retail team in Chicago, Illinois. This position plays a vital role in delivering outstanding customer experiences while supporting daily store operations. As a Customer Service Representative, you will greet customers warmly, process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems, and handle various payment methods including cash, credit cards, and mobile payments. You will maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store, restock shelves and coolers, prepare fresh food items, and ensure all products meet quality standards. Additional responsibilities include monitoring inventory levels, identifying low stock items, assisting with receiving deliveries, and following established loss prevention procedures to protect company assets. The role requires maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all customers while adhering to company policies and food safety regulations. You will resolve customer concerns professionally, process returns and exchanges according to policy, and contribute to achieving store sales targets. Team collaboration is essential as you support coworkers during peak hours and participate in store meetings and training sessions. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, previous customer service or retail experience preferred, and the ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, possess basic math skills, and demonstrate reliability and punctuality. Strong communication abilities and a positive attitude are essential for success in this role. Key skills for this position include excellent customer service abilities, cash handling accuracy, multitasking under pressure, problem-solving capabilities, and strong attention to detail. Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, lifting up to 40 pounds, and performing repetitive tasks. Previous experience with point-of-sale systems and inventory management is advantageous.
