Job Overview
CDK Global, a leader in automotive software solutions, is seeking a motivated New Business Sales Representative to join our team in Kansas. This full-time role focuses on acquiring new clients by promoting our innovative dealer management systems (DMS), CRM tools, and digital retailing platforms that empower automotive dealerships to thrive in a competitive market. You'll play a pivotal role in expanding our footprint, driving revenue growth, and helping businesses optimize operations from sales to service.
Key Responsibilities
Prospect and generate leads through cold calling, networking events, and digital outreach targeting automotive dealerships and related businesses. Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and needs assessments to showcase how CDK's software streamlines inventory management, customer engagement, and compliance. Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, negotiate contracts, and close deals to meet and exceed quarterly sales quotas. Collaborate with marketing, product, and support teams to develop tailored sales strategies and provide post-sale customer success support. Maintain accurate CRM records, analyze sales pipelines, and report on performance metrics to continuously refine approaches.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. At least 3-5 years of proven experience in B2B software sales, ideally within the automotive or SaaS industry. Track record of meeting or surpassing sales targets in a new business development capacity. Willingness to travel within Kansas as needed for client meetings and industry events.
Skills
Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex software benefits clearly. Strong negotiation and closing abilities, coupled with a hunter mentality for lead generation. Proficiency in CRM tools like Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales analytics platforms. Deep understanding of the automotive dealership ecosystem, including F&I, service departments, and OEM integrations. Self-motivated with resilience to handle rejection and a data-driven approach to sales forecasting.
