Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnose mental health disorders, and develop individualized treatment plans for adults and adolescents. Prescribe and manage medications, monitor patient progress, and adjust therapies as needed through video consultations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and primary care providers, to ensure holistic care. Maintain accurate electronic health records in compliance with HIPAA and state regulations. Provide crisis intervention and ongoing support for conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, and substance use disorders. Participate in peer reviews and quality assurance initiatives to uphold clinical excellence. Required Qualifications Active Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification and unrestricted Alaska APRN license. Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in psychiatry or mental health settings. DEA registration and prescriptive authority in Alaska. Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Current BLS certification. Must be eligible for credentialing with major insurers. Skills Proficiency in telehealth platforms and electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Excellent diagnostic and assessment abilities with evidence-based psychopharmacology knowledge. Strong communication and empathy to build rapport virtually. Cultural competence serving diverse Alaskan populations. Time management for efficient fee-for-service billing and independent practice.
