Job Overview PepsiCo, a global leader in food and beverage, is seeking a dynamic Relief Sales Representative to cover large grocery and mass merchandiser accounts in the Hays, KS area. This full-time position offers the opportunity to join a high-performing sales team, ensuring product availability, merchandising excellence, and strong retailer relationships while filling in for routes as needed. Ideal for motivated individuals passionate about sales and consumer goods. Key Responsibilities Execute sales routes efficiently, stocking shelves, rotating products, and building displays to maximize visibility and sales. Build and maintain strong partnerships with store managers and staff at major grocery chains and mass merchandisers, presenting new products and promotions. Monitor inventory levels, process orders accurately using handheld devices, and resolve delivery issues promptly. Conduct market checks to ensure competitive pricing, proper shelving, and promotional compliance. Drive company vehicle safely, adhering to all DOT regulations and PepsiCo safety standards. Collect payments, reconcile accounts, and report sales data accurately. Identify growth opportunities and provide feedback on consumer trends to support territory strategies. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to obtain a DOT medical card. Minimum of 1-2 years in sales, route sales, or retail merchandising experience. Must be at least 21 years old and able to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly. Comfortable working in varied weather conditions and flexible with relief scheduling, including occasional weekends. Skills Proven sales acumen with strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities. Excellent communication and customer service skills to influence buying decisions. Organizational prowess for managing multiple accounts and priorities. Tech-savvy with proficiency in mobile sales tools, inventory systems, and Microsoft Office. Self-motivated problem-solver with a results-driven mindset and attention to detail.
