Job Overview: Loma Systems, a global leader in inspection and detection equipment for the food, pharmaceutical, and packaging industries, is seeking a dynamic Regional Sales Manager to oversee sales operations in the California territory. Reporting to the National Sales Director from our Kansas headquarters, you will spearhead business development, manage key accounts, and achieve aggressive sales targets in a high-growth market. This full-time position offers the flexibility of field-based work with periodic travel to KS for meetings and training. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand market share in California, targeting food processors, manufacturers, and distributors. Prospect new business through cold calling, networking events, trade shows, and digital outreach, while nurturing existing relationships to upsell and cross-sell Loma's metal detectors, X-ray systems, checkweighers, and combination units. Conduct product demonstrations, prepare customized proposals, and negotiate contracts to close deals exceeding quarterly and annual quotas. Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, technical support, and service engineers to ensure seamless customer onboarding and satisfaction. Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities using CRM tools to optimize performance and forecast revenue. Travel extensively within the territory (up to 70%), with occasional national trips for company events. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 5-7 years of proven B2B sales experience, ideally in capital equipment, industrial machinery, or food safety technologies. Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales targets in a regional role, with strong knowledge of the West Coast market. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently. Skills: Exceptional communication and presentation abilities to engage C-level executives and technical buyers. Proficiency in CRM systems like Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales analytics tools. Strategic thinking with a hunter mentality, coupled with relationship-building expertise. Technical aptitude to understand and articulate complex inspection equipment features and benefits. Resilience, self-motivation, and adaptability in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
