West Coast Wound is actively recruiting a skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dedicated healthcare team in Chicago, Illinois. This position offers flexible full-time or part-time scheduling and focuses on delivering exceptional wound care services to patients in need. Our clinical professionals play a vital role in assessing, treating, and managing complex wounds, helping patients achieve optimal healing outcomes and improved quality of life.
As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at West Coast Wound, you will conduct thorough patient assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and perform advanced wound care procedures including debridement, dressing changes, and infection management. You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive, coordinated care delivery. Additional responsibilities include documenting patient progress, educating patients and families on wound care techniques, monitoring healing trajectories, and maintaining compliance with clinical protocols and regulatory standards. This role requires strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to patient-centered care.
To be successful in this position, candidates must hold current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Illinois, along with national certification from an accredited certifying body. A minimum of two years of clinical experience in wound care, dermatology, or related specialty is strongly preferred. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in wound assessment, treatment modalities, and evidence-based practice guidelines. Excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to continuous professional development are essential. Experience with electronic health records and strong organizational abilities will support success in this role.
