Resurrection Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical - Oncology unit in Chicago, Illinois. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients undergoing treatment for a wide range of medical conditions and cancer diagnoses. As part of our multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will play a vital role in supporting patients through every stage of their treatment journey while upholding the highest standards of clinical excellence and patient safety. In this position, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive patient assessments, developing individualized care plans, and administering medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols. You will closely monitor patient conditions, recognize changes in status, and coordinate with physicians and specialists to ensure timely interventions. Additional duties include educating patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, and self-care strategies, as well as maintaining accurate documentation in electronic health records. You will also participate in quality improvement initiatives, adhere to infection control standards, and support a healing environment that prioritizes dignity and comfort for every patient. Candidates must possess an active Registered Nurse license in the state of Illinois and have completed an accredited nursing program. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred, along with a minimum of one year of experience in medical-surgical or oncology nursing. BLS and ACLS certifications are required, and OCN certification is highly desirable. Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment are essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and the care team.
