Job Overview
Doctors Hospital at Overland Park Regional Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department on a temporary basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients experiencing acute illnesses and injuries in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including assessment, triage, treatment, and monitoring of patients with varying acuity levels. Administer medications, perform diagnostic tests, and collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans. Respond swiftly to medical emergencies, ensuring patient safety and stabilization. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information and care provided. Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards to ensure compliance and quality care delivery.
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Kansas. Minimum of one year of emergency department or critical care nursing experience preferred. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required. Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills essential. Ability to work in high-pressure situations with excellent time management capabilities.
