Job Overview: Stewart Title Guaranty Company, a leading provider of title insurance and real estate settlement services, is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our Syracuse, NY office. In this full-time role, you will play a vital part in delivering outstanding customer support to clients, agents, and partners in the real estate and title industry, contributing to smooth transactions and building lasting relationships.
Key Responsibilities: Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, and online portals, providing accurate information on title insurance policies, escrow services, and closing processes. Resolve issues related to policy status, documentation, and claims efficiently, escalating complex matters to senior staff when necessary. Maintain detailed records of customer interactions in our CRM system, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with internal teams, including underwriters and legal departments, to facilitate seamless service delivery. Proactively identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products or solutions to enhance satisfaction and loyalty. Assist in preparing title reports, lien searches, and other documentation as needed to support real estate closings.
Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in business, communications, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 1-2 years of customer service experience, ideally in real estate, insurance, or financial services. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel; experience with CRM software such as Salesforce is a plus. Strong understanding of title insurance basics or willingness to complete company-provided training.
Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused mindset. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy. Problem-solving prowess to handle diverse customer scenarios effectively. Solid organizational skills for managing high volumes of inquiries and documentation.
