Full Description
Job Overview: Aramark is seeking a dynamic Event Sales Manager to join our team at The Morton Arboretum in Lisle, Illinois. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the sales of event spaces, including weddings, corporate meetings, galas, and private celebrations, leveraging the Arboretum's breathtaking 1,700-acre grounds featuring gardens, meadows, and woodlands. As a key contributor to Aramark's hospitality division, you will collaborate with event planners, brides, corporate clients, and nonprofits to deliver unforgettable experiences while driving revenue growth and exceeding sales goals.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to prospect, qualify, and close deals for venue rentals and catering services. Conduct site tours, prepare customized proposals with pricing, menus, and logistics, and negotiate contracts to secure bookings. Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients through exceptional follow-up, post-event feedback, and upsell opportunities for repeat business. Coordinate with internal teams including catering, operations, and Arboretum staff to ensure seamless event execution from planning to completion. Track sales performance using CRM tools, analyze market trends, and report on KPIs such as revenue targets, booking rates, and client satisfaction scores. Represent Aramark at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to expand the client pipeline. Manage the inquiry-to-contract process efficiently, handling inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms while maintaining a robust sales pipeline.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Minimum of 3-5 years in event sales, hospitality sales, or venue management, ideally in a destination or outdoor setting. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a B2B or B2C environment. Strong understanding of event planning logistics, including AV, décor, and catering needs.
Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly. Proficiency in sales software such as Salesforce or similar CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and event management tools. Creative problem-solving, negotiation expertise, and attention to detail under pressure. Passion for nature, sustainability, and delivering white-glove service. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, seasonal environment with weekend and evening availability.
Company Info: Aramark proudly serves millions daily through food, facilities, and uniform services at iconic venues worldwide. Partnering with The Morton Arboretum, a renowned nonprofit botanical garden, we create magical moments amid nature's beauty. Our Lisle location offers a unique blend of professional growth and outdoor inspiration.
Benefits: Competitive salary with uncapped commission potential, comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, employee discounts on Aramark services, and access to professional development programs.
Growth Opportunities: Advance your career within Aramark's vast network to roles like Regional Sales Director or National Event Manager. Gain hands-on experience in a premier venue, with mentorship, sales training, and exposure to high-profile events fostering rapid professional development.
