Job Overview Careers In Travel Destination Planners is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our fully remote team. In this full-time role, you will play a pivotal part in helping customers plan and book their dream vacations, providing personalized support from inquiry to confirmation. As a key member of our travel planning team, you'll ensure every client interaction is seamless, informative, and delightful, contributing to our reputation for outstanding service in the travel industry. Key Responsibilities Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, chat, and social media, addressing questions about destinations, itineraries, accommodations, and transportation. Assist clients in selecting and booking vacations, including flights, hotels, tours, and packages, while upselling relevant travel options to enhance their experience. Handle booking modifications, cancellations, and refunds with empathy and efficiency, resolving issues to maintain high customer satisfaction. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, bookings, and preferences in our CRM system. Collaborate with travel suppliers and internal teams to coordinate seamless travel arrangements. Provide travel advice, including visa requirements, health advisories, and destination highlights, to ensure informed decision-making. Monitor bookings for any disruptions and proactively communicate updates or alternatives to clients. Contribute to quality assurance by reviewing customer feedback and suggesting process improvements. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in hospitality, tourism, or business preferred. At least 1-2 years of customer service experience, ideally in travel, hospitality, or retail. Proven track record of handling high-volume inquiries with a focus on customer satisfaction. Familiarity with travel booking platforms, GDS systems like Sabre or Amadeus, or similar tools is a plus. Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail to manage complex bookings accurately. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software, and online booking tools. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure. Empathy and patience when dealing with diverse customer needs and occasional complaints. Basic knowledge of popular travel destinations, trends, and regulations. Tech-savvy with quick adaptability to new software and virtual collaboration tools like Zoom or Slack.
