Job Overview Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Radiology Nurse to join the team at Doctor's Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. This temporary position offers healthcare professionals the opportunity to work in a specialized imaging department, delivering exceptional patient care during diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients before, during, and after radiology procedures including CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and fluoroscopy. Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and assess patient conditions throughout imaging examinations. Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare team members to ensure safe and effective procedure outcomes. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining processes, obtaining informed consent, and addressing any concerns. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, medications administered, and procedural details in electronic medical records. Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and infection control standards. Assist with interventional radiology procedures including biopsies, drain placements, and vascular access interventions. Respond to patient emergencies and provide appropriate nursing interventions as needed. Required Qualifications Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of Nebraska. Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in radiology, critical care, or emergency nursing. Basic Life Support certification required, with Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred. Strong knowledge of radiology procedures, contrast media administration, and radiation safety principles. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while maintaining attention to detail. Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for educating patients and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Critical thinking abilities to assess patient conditions and respond appropriately during procedures. Technical proficiency with electronic health records and radiology equipment.
