Strong understanding of structured programming, data structures, and database management systems such as DB2 or VSAM. Experience with JCL, utilities, and mainframe debugging tools. U.S. citizenship required due to the nature of government contracts; ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is essential. Skills: Proficiency in COBOL (including COBOL II and Enterprise COBOL), assembler language, and mainframe utilities. Knowledge of modern integration techniques like RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud migration strategies for legacy systems. Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work under tight deadlines. Strong communication skills for technical documentation and team collaboration. Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems such as Git or Endeavor is a plus.
