Redolent is looking for an experienced Software Developer to join our Application Server Technologies team in Chicago, Illinois. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge server technologies and contribute to the development of robust enterprise applications that power mission-critical systems. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable solutions and ensure high-performance delivery across our technology infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining application server components, implementing new features, and optimizing existing server architectures. You will work closely with QA engineers, system administrators, and product managers to ensure seamless integration and deployment of server-side solutions. Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting complex technical issues, participating in code reviews, and documenting technical specifications to maintain high standards of software quality and reliability. Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, along with a minimum of three years of professional experience in software development. Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or similar programming languages is essential, as well as hands-on experience with application servers such as Tomcat, WebLogic, or JBoss. Knowledge of cloud platforms, containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, and database management systems including SQL and NoSQL is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the capacity to work effectively both independently and within a team environment. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture will be considered a significant advantage. Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git is expected.
