Key Responsibilities
Perform thorough physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop individualized treatment plans. Prescribe medications, administer injections, and provide health education to patients and families. Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and COPD through ongoing monitoring and adjustments to care plans. Conduct preventive screenings and wellness visits to promote early detection and intervention. Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with primary care physicians, specialists, and care coordinators to optimize patient outcomes. Respond to urgent care needs and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.
Required Qualifications
Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Nebraska. Master's degree from an accredited NP or PA program. National certification as an NP (e.g., ANCC, AANP) or PA (NCCPA). Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in primary care, family practice, or internal medicine. Current DEA registration and BLS certification; ACLS preferred. Valid Nebraska driver's license and reliable transportation for field visits. Proficiency in EHR systems and telehealth platforms.
