Coffeyville Regional Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Orthopedics team. This advanced practice provider position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with orthopedic surgeons and healthcare professionals in a supportive community hospital environment. The successful candidate will play an integral role in delivering comprehensive musculoskeletal care to patients across the lifespan. Key Responsibilities include conducting thorough patient evaluations, obtaining detailed medical histories, and performing physical examinations focused on the musculoskeletal system. The provider will order and interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory studies, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide both surgical and non-surgical management of orthopedic conditions. Additional duties encompass patient education regarding injury prevention, rehabilitation protocols, and post-operative care instructions. The role involves assisting in orthopedic procedures, managing follow-up appointments, and coordinating care with physical therapy, occupational therapy, and other specialties as needed. Required Qualifications for this position include current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Kansas, national certification in the respective discipline, and a minimum of two years of clinical experience preferably in orthopedics or a related surgical specialty. Candidates must possess a valid DEA registration and maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications. Essential Skills include strong clinical assessment abilities, proficiency in interpreting radiographic studies, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the capacity to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
