Accredo Specialty Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative to deliver outstanding support to patients navigating complex specialty medication therapies. This fully remote position allows you to work from anywhere in Tennessee while helping patients understand their prescriptions, navigate insurance requirements, and coordinate timely medication deliveries.
As a Customer Service Representative, you will handle inbound calls from patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers, answering questions about medication regimens, prior authorizations, and pharmacy services. You will process prescription orders, verify patient information, resolve billing inquiries, and collaborate with internal teams including pharmacists, nurses, and insurance specialists. Daily responsibilities include documenting interactions accurately in electronic systems, following up on pending cases, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and privacy standards.
Required qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of customer service experience preferably in healthcare or pharmacy, and strong computer proficiency with the ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously. Candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, active listening abilities, and a compassionate, patient-focused approach.
Essential skills include proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, experience with customer relationship management software, knowledge of insurance terminology, and the ability to handle high call volumes while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
