Job Overview: MLee Medical Employment is seeking a skilled and dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (APP), either a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA), to join our dynamic Emergency Department team in Moundridge, Kansas. In this critical role, you will deliver high-quality, timely medical care to patients experiencing acute illnesses, injuries, and emergencies, ensuring optimal patient outcomes in a collaborative healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history taking, physical exams, and diagnostic testing in the fast-paced ED setting. Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute conditions, from trauma and cardiac events to infections and minor procedures, prescribing medications and treatments as appropriate. Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and support staff to develop and execute care plans, perform procedures such as suturing, splinting, and intubation when needed, and make critical decisions under pressure. Document all patient interactions accurately in electronic health records, ensure compliance with hospital protocols and regulatory standards, and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance department performance. Required Qualifications: Current, active licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Kansas, with national certification (e.g., ANCC, AANP for NPs; NCCPA for PAs). Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in emergency medicine, urgent care, or critical care settings. Master's degree or higher from an accredited NP or PA program, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; ATLS certification preferred. Strong knowledge of emergency medicine principles, pharmacology, and evidence-based practices. Skills: Exceptional clinical judgment and decision-making in high-stress situations, proficiency in rapid assessment and triage, excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient and team interactions, technical proficiency with EMR systems and diagnostic equipment, and a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care. Ability to multitask efficiently, adapt to shifting priorities, and maintain composure during crises.
