Job Overview
The Field Sales Merchandiser at The Wonderful Company plays a pivotal role in promoting and selling our iconic brands—Wonderful Pistachios, POM Wonderful, and Halos Citrus—in the Franklin, NE territory. This full-time position involves hands-on field work to build strong retailer relationships, execute merchandising strategies, and drive category growth for these premium snack and beverage products. You'll represent a portfolio of healthy, high-quality consumer favorites, ensuring optimal product placement and visibility to boost sales and brand loyalty.
Key Responsibilities
Travel within the assigned Nebraska territory to service retail accounts, including grocery stores, convenience stores, and specialty outlets. Build and maintain relationships with store managers and buyers to secure prime shelf space, endcaps, and promotional displays for Wonderful Pistachios, POM Wonderful juices, and Halos mandarin oranges. Execute planograms and merchandising standards to ensure consistent brand presentation, including stocking shelves, rotating products, and removing out-of-date inventory. Monitor sales performance, track inventory levels, and report insights on competitor activities and market trends using mobile tools or company systems. Collaborate with the sales team to launch promotions, conduct product samplings, and participate in local events to increase consumer awareness and trial. Identify new business opportunities, negotiate placements, and achieve sales targets while adhering to budget guidelines. Maintain a company vehicle, equipment, and accurate records of visits, orders, and expenses.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred. At least 1-2 years of experience in sales, merchandising, or retail operations, ideally with CPG or food/beverage products. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to travel extensively within the territory (up to 80% field time). Proficiency with Microsoft Office, mobile apps, and basic sales reporting tools. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence retailers and build partnerships. Self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational abilities to handle multiple accounts independently. Analytical mindset for interpreting sales data and spotting growth opportunities.
