POSITION TITLE: Home School Teacher POSITION DUTIES: Provide individualized academic instruction and enrichment to supplement the child's formal elementary school education. Deliver structured, hands-on learning experiences tailored to the child academic needs, interests, and family objectives. Supplement school education through individualized instruction, demonstrations, and guided discussions. Establish procedures to guide, mentor, and counsel the child in academic and special interest areas. Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet the child’s learning style and family goals. Plan and conduct balanced instructional activities, including academics, arts, home economics, and cooking demonstrations. Provide opportunities for observation, questioning, and hands-on participation in subjects including reading, math, arts, and technology. Incorporate modern technology and responsible social media education into curriculum planning. Develop and execute projects that reinforce academic concepts and real-world application. Assign, assist with, and review homework. Read and discuss books to strengthen comprehension and critical thinking. Observe and document the child’s academic performance, behavior, and developmental progress. Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, counselors, and administrators regarding academic advancement. Maintain flexibility to work evenings and/or weekends as needed. Smoke-free, drug-free environment. REQUIREMENTS: High School + 3 years of experience in the position or in any elementary or middle school teaching position + Negative drug test + Negative criminal history + Florida Drivers license.
