Job Description
INFUSE seeks a remote Associate In-House Counsel to provide legal support for business operations, contracts, and compliance. Join our innovative team to mitigate risks and drive strategic growth in a dynamic tech environment.
Full Description
INFUSE is seeking a talented Associate In-House Counsel to join our remote legal team. This pivotal role supports the company's rapid expansion by delivering expert legal guidance on contracts, compliance, and risk management, directly impacting our ability to innovate and scale in the competitive tech landscape. You'll play a key part in safeguarding our operations while enabling business success.
As Associate In-House Counsel, your day-to-day involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, partnership deals, and customer terms. You'll conduct legal research on emerging regulations in data privacy, cybersecurity, and intellectual property, providing actionable advice to departments like sales, product, and engineering. Weekly, expect to collaborate with cross-functional teams on transaction support, such as M&A due diligence or partnership evaluations, ensuring timely deliverables. Monthly responsibilities include updating compliance programs, conducting risk assessments, and preparing reports for leadership on legal metrics like contract cycle times and dispute resolutions. You may lead small projects, like policy development, and mentor junior staff, fostering a proactive legal culture.
Candidates must hold a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and be an active member in good standing of at least one U.S. state bar. We require 3-5 years of relevant experience in-house or at a law firm, with a focus on technology or SaaS companies. Proficiency in contract management tools like DocuSign or Ironclad, along with strong knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and IP law, is essential. Familiarity with corporate governance and litigation support is a plus.
Success in this role demands exceptional analytical thinking, precise legal writing, and the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-legal stakeholders. You'll thrive with strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset, adapting quickly to business priorities. Technical competencies in legal tech platforms and a proactive approach to risk mitigation set top performers apart.
