Job Description
INFUSE seeks a remote Associate In-House Counsel to provide legal support for business operations, contracts, compliance, and risk management. Join our innovative team to safeguard growth in a dynamic tech environment.
Full Description
INFUSE is seeking a talented Associate In-House Counsel to join our legal team in a fully remote capacity. This pivotal role will provide essential legal guidance to support our rapid growth, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance across all business activities. As a key partner to executive leadership and various departments, you will play a critical role in enabling INFUSE to innovate boldly while maintaining the highest standards of legal integrity and corporate governance.
In this position, you will draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including vendor contracts, partnership deals, SaaS licenses, and customer terms of service. Daily tasks involve advising on regulatory compliance matters such as data privacy laws like GDPR and CCPA, intellectual property protection, and employment law issues. Weekly, you will collaborate with sales, product, finance, and HR teams to resolve legal queries, conduct legal risk assessments for new initiatives, and prepare memos on emerging legal trends. Monthly responsibilities include supporting litigation strategy if needed, updating company policies, tracking key legal metrics like contract turnaround time and compliance audit scores, and participating in cross-functional projects to launch new products compliantly. You may also mentor junior legal staff and contribute to developing standardized templates to streamline operations.
To succeed, candidates must hold a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and possess an active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state, with preference for California or New York bar admission. We require 3-5 years of relevant experience in a corporate legal environment, ideally within tech, SaaS, or fintech sectors. Proficiency in contract management tools like DocuSign, Ironclad, or ContractZen, along with strong knowledge of U.S. commercial law, privacy regulations, and IP fundamentals, is essential. Experience handling mergers and acquisitions support or international contracts is a plus.
Beyond technical expertise, we value exceptional communication skills to translate complex legal concepts for non-legal stakeholders, keen analytical abilities for risk evaluation, and a proactive problem-solving mindset. Strong organizational skills are crucial for managing high-volume workloads, while ethical judgment and attention to detail ensure unwavering compliance. Familiarity with agile legal operations and a collaborative spirit will help you thrive in our fast-paced, innovative culture.
